The McKendree University women's soccer team put up a season high four goals in a 4-0 win over William Jewell on Sunday afternoon in Lebanon, Ill.Â

How It HappenedÂ
The Bearcats go on the scoreboard first in the 12th minutes when
Emma Knoebel (Maryville, IL/Collinsville) was fouled in the penalty area and converted the penalty kick.Â

In the second half, the Bearcats would keep the pressure on and added three goals. The first goal was from
Destiny Johnson (Maryville, IL/Collinsville) in the 63
rd minute of the game with assist credit to
Katie Spotanski (St. Peters, MO/Fort Zumwalt South), the second goal came from
Alynnah O'Leary (Collinsville, IL/Collinsville) in the 73
rd minute and the third goal was scored by
Morgan Hollenbeck (Eureka, MO/Eureka) off a free kick in the 88
th minute.

The goal from Johnson was the first of her career, the goal from Hollenbeck was her first of the season, and O'Leary's goal was the second of the season. O'Leary now leads the team in goals with two and assists with three.

With the win, the Bearcats move to 5-1 on the season and sit in second place in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
