The McKendree University men's tennis team extended its winning streak to three following today's 4-3 victory over Rockhurst.

The Bearcats failed to secure the doubles point for the first time in four matches, dropping all three matches.

McKendree would come to form in singles play and steal the victory away from Rockhurst after winning at first, second, third and sixth singles.

First singles would see sophomore Leonardo Frederico cruise to 6-2, 6-1 victory. Junior Vishnu Prasad held down two singles for McKendree, claiming a 6-3, 6-4 win.

Freshman Subash Paramasivan continued his strong play with a decisive 6-3, 6-0 victory at third singles. Sophomore captain Jaydn Richardson would bring it home for McKendree with a 6-4, 6-3 win at sixth singles.

"Coach MacDonald prepared his team well. After a slow start, our men did an unbelievable job of fighting back to get the team win," said head coach René Vidal following today's match.

The Bearcats will look to make it four in a row, when they travel to Springfield, IL for a showdown with the University of Southern Illinois.
