On Wednesday afternoon, the McKendree women's bowling team officially heard its named called to compete for the 2021 National Championship. The NCAA Women's Bowling Committee announced the 16 teams that will be competing for the National Collegiate Women's Bowling Championship the week of April 7 to 10.
The No. 1 Bearcats will first compete in the regional competition on April 7-8 in Kansas City, Mo. If the Bearcats win their region, they will advance to the NCAA Championship round on April 9-10, also in Kansas City.
The regional and championships brackets will be double-elimination, with each round consisting of a best-of-three matches that includes the use of three team game formats - baker total pin fall, five-person team match and a best-of-seven baker match play. Regional competition will conclude with one team from each regional bracket advancing to compete in the championship. The championship final will air at 6:30 p.m. Eastern Time on ESPNU.Â
