The McKendree University baseball team completed a four-game sweep of the Wisconsin-Parkside Rangers Sunday afternoon by a final score of 16-4.

The Bearcats jumped out to a 4-2 lead in the first inning after two Bearcats came home off an error made by Parkside. Senior
Connor McCormick (Manteno, IL/Manteno) drove in junior
Corey Price (Bethalto, IL/Civic Memorial) and sophomore
Jayton Cromer (Lebanon, MO/Lebanon) brought in sophomore
Joseph Copeland (Glen Carbon, IL/Edwardsville) off a sacrifice fly.
McKendree extended its lead in the third inning afterÂ
Ryan Hutchinson (Sorento, IL/Greenville) got hit by a pitch with the bases loaded. Later in the inning, junior
JP Kehoe (South Bend, IN/Clay) would drive in another two runs to extend the lead up to 8-2.
The Bearcats would keep up the pressure throughout the entire game, including a
Ryan Hutchinson (Sorento, IL/Greenville) grand slam to left field in the 6
th inning.
Senior
Brenden Boles (Odin, IL/Salem) would start the game on the mound for the Bearcats. He pitched six innings, gave up three hits and struck out six batters.
