The McKendree University women's lacrosse team defeated Colorado State University Pueblo by a final score of 18-11 on Sunday to improve to 3-1 on the year.
 
How it Happened
McKendree jumped out to a 3-0 lead with goals from senior Sarah Hardin (Pacific, MO/Eureka), junior Kat Albrecht (Louisville, KY/Eastern) and a free position goal from junior Oriana Johnson (Monticello, MN/Monticello). Junior Sydney Tiemann (Eureka, MO/Eureka) would also get in on the action with a pair of goals to give the Bearcats a 5-2 lead. By the end of the first half of play, McKendree would be ahead 9-5, and not look back.

The second half would see the Bearcats keep their foot on the gas, starting the half with four unanswered goals. Hardin scored a shorthanded goal in the first 20 seconds of play and the other goals scored by senior Rylee Skachenko (Oceanside, CA/Carlsbad) and Albrecht.
