The McKendree University men's tennis team fell to the No.4 University of Indianapolis Greyhounds by a final score of 7-0.
Greyhounds secured the opening doubles point by winning all three matches, but the Bearcats did not make it easy on the Greyhounds. At one doubles,
Leonardo Frederico and
Ryan Fung played the Greyhounds tight but ultimately fell 5-7. On the court next to them at two doubles,
Subash Paramasivan and
Vishnu Prasad would also battle with the Greyhounds but fall in the end by a score of 6-7.
Singles play rolled around and while the Bearcats would play hard across all positions, the power of the Greyhounds would prove to be too great for the Bearcats. Fourth singles would see freshman
Julappagari Anurag Reddy go the distance with his opponent, losing in a third set super breaker by a final score of 6-3, 3-6, 6-10.
The Bearcats return to action on April 13
th when they return to Godfrey, Ill to square off with the Trailblazers from Lewis and Clark Community College which was previously scheduled for April 7
th.
