The McKendree Bearcat football team dropped its final game of the 2020-21 season 51-23 to the Indianapolis Greyhounds on Saturday afternoon in Indianapolis, Ind.
 
The Greyhounds got the scoring going early in the first quarter taking a 7-0 lead just three minutes into the contest. McKendree was able to answer back and take a lead scoring 16 unanswered points. Steve Leadlove started the scoring for the Bearcats with a nine yard touchdown reception from Turner Pullen.
 
Ryan Kastl connected on a 41-yard field goal then the scoring barrage was capped off by a 41-yard by Jayden Mitchell.
 
After surrendering 16 straight points the Greyhounds answered with 28 straight unanswered points of their own. The deficit was just too much for the Bearcats after that. The home team would roll to their second victory of the year.
 
Inside the Box Score
-  Turner Pullen threw for 181 yards and one touchdown
-  Jayden Mitchell led the Bearcats in rushing with 78 yards and one touchdown.
-  Jacob Bachman once again had a big day catching the ball. He caught 13 passes for 114 yards.
-  Devon Myles led the Bearcat defense with 10 tackles. 

The Bearcats end the shortened season with a record of 1-1 and will now look forward to the fall season of 2021.
