The McKendree University women's lacrosse team picked up their fourth straight win after defeating Lewis 16-9 on Thursday.
How it Happened
The Bearcat offense was led by
Rylee Skachenko to start the game. She scored four of the Bearcats first five goals, with
Kat Albrecht assisting on three of them. Skachenko would go on to score two more goals to help the Bearcats to a 9-4 lead at the break.
The Bearcats would open the second half on a 5-1 run to expand their lead to 14-5. During the run, McKendree would get contributions from Albrecht,
Jess Morey and
Sarah Hardin. Lewis would close the lead to 14-9, but Skachenko would find the back of the net twice for her seventh and eighth goals of the contest to seal the game for McKendree.

- Skachenko's eight goals ties the program record for most goals in a single game. Skachenko shares that honor with
Paige Salthouse, who also scored eight goals against Oklahoma Baptist in 2018.
-Albrecht has now recorded back-to-back double digit point efforts, with her recording 10 points off four goals and six assists.
-Hardin and Skachenko would pick up five ground balls a piece in the contest.
