The McKendree University women's tennis team fell to the University of Illinois Springfield by a score of 5-2 on Saturday afternoon in Springfield, Ill. 

During the doubles portion of the match, the Bearcats dropped No. 1 and No. 2 by the scored of 4-6, and 1-6. The third and final doubles would go to McKendree via default.

Singles play would see McKendree continue to battle at one through four singles but again the Prairie Stars would prove to be too much for McKendree.

Fifth and sixth singles would be won by McKendree via default.

The Bearcats return to action on April 7^th when they take on Lewis and Clark Community College.
