The McKendree University women's tennis team fell to the Lewis University Flyers on Friday by a score of 5-2.

The Flyers would nab the opening doubles point on the afternoon by dispatching the Bearcats at all three positions. The Bearcats played close at one doubles, losing 6-7.

Singles play let the Bearcats return to the court with a newfound energy and would manage to secure two wins but ultimately would not be able to get past the Flyers.

The singles wins came from Viola Cipriani at second singles and Emily Kettering at sixth singles, with Kettering battling back from down a set.

McKendree takes the court again on Saturday April 10^th when they will do battle with the Greyhounds of the University of Indianapolis.
