The McKendree University women's lacrosse team concluded its 2021 season following a loss to the No.2 University of Indianapolis Greyhounds in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women's Lacrosse Championships by a score of 19-6.
The Greyhounds cut through the Bearcat defense early, scoring the first five goals of the contest. Senior
Sarah Hardin got the Bearcats on the board for her 41 goal of the season

McKendree would cut the lead to 6-3 following goals from
Sydney Tiemann and
Oriana Johnson, but that would be as close as the Bearcats got to. The Greyhounds would command a 16-4 lead at halftime. In the second half, McKendree would get two goals from seniors
Jess Morey and Rylee Skachanko.
The Bearcats finish the season 10-4 and 5-2 in conference play, with McKendree's only defeats this year coming at the hands of top 10 opponents.
Junior attacker
Kat Albrecht had a career year, finishing the season with 89 points and is currently in the top five in the nation in assists and assists per game.
