The McKendree University men's tennis team fell to the Lewis Flyers on Friday by a final score of 4-3.
Doubles play would see the Flyers sweep the Bearcats to secure the opening doubles point on the afternoon. The Bearcats played the Flyers close in two of the matches losing one 5-7 and another 6-7.
The Bearcats would rally in singled play and make the match very close. Captain
Leonardo Frederico secured a win at first singles by a score of 6-2, 6-4.
Ryan Fung and
Jaydn Richardson each won at fifth and sixth singles, respectively in dominating fashion.
The Bearcats will return to action tomorrow when they travel to Indianapolis. The Bearcats will look to topple the University of Indianapolis Greyhounds.
