Head Coach René Vidal announced Monday the hiring of McKendree alumni and standout tennis player Sara Kalkenova as Assistant Tennis Coach for the 2021-22 season.

Kalkenova was a member of the McKendree women's tennis program from 2018 to 2021 where she was a two time GEICO Academic All-American and finished her career with 16 wins in singles play and 13 wins in doubles.
 

"Sara's strong playing background and understanding of winning psychology will help take our programs to the next level," says Vidal. "We're excited about the future of McKendree Tennis"
