O'FALLON, Ill. – The McKendree University men's swimming team picked up its ninth dual meet win of the 2021-22 season here Friday afternoon as the fifth-ranked Bearcats collected a 185-83 win over Missouri-St. Louis on Senior Day at the McKendree Metro Rec Plex Pool.
Prior to Friday's meet, the Bearcats honored its 10 seniors in a pre-meet ceremony. The senior recognized were senior

Taras Zherebetskyy (Alghero, Sardegna, Italy/ITS "Angelo Roth").
In Friday's meet against the Tritons, the Bearcats won 13 of 16 events, had 11 second place finishes and recorded two NCAA "B" times.
Five Bearcats won multiple events against UMSL as sophomore
Filipe Pinheiro (Rio de Janiero, Brazil/Colegio Ao Cubo) and graduate student
Xander Skinner (Namibia, Africa/Windhoek Afrikaans) each won two individual events and were on the winning 200 medley relay team. In addition to Pinheiro and Skinner, freshman
Patryk Rozenek (Radlin, Poland/Zsoms Raciborz), freshman
Emilio Perez (Milwaukee, Wis./Greenfield), Fraser-Allen and Larson each won two events.
Pinherio's two individual event wins came in the 100 breaststroke (55.67) and 200 breaststroke (2:02.66), while Skinner's two individual event wins came in the 50 free style in an NCAA 'B' time of 20.00 and 100 freestyle (45.16).
Pinheiro and Skinner were the second and anchor legs on McKendree's winning 200 medley relay team that posted a time of 1:29.72. The other members of the winning relay team were Rozenek and Perez.
In addition to the 200-medley relay, Rozenek's individual event win came in the 200 backstroke as he recorded a time of 1:54.73. He was also second in the 100 backstroke (51.40), while Perez's individual event win came in the 100 butterfly as he posted an NCAA 'B' time of 48.21. Perez was also second in the 50 freestyle.
Fraser-Allen posted his two event wins in the 1,000 freestyle with a time of 9:46.78 and the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:45.09.
Larson swept both diving events as he was first in the 1-meter diving with a score of 460.72 and was also first in the 3-meter diving with a score of 260.18. In addition to Larson, Glidden was second in both events as he posted a score of 258.30 in the 1-meter and 118.88 in the 3-meter.
McKendree's other individual event winners were freshman
Jackson Lustig (Milwaukee, Wis./Pius XI), who won the mixed 200 butterfly with a time of 1:52.83 and Schrock recorded a first-place finish in the 400 IM with a time of 4:12.68. Lustig also finished second in the 1,000 freestyle with a time of 9:50.39.
Freshman
Leo Gandaria-Hernandez (Milwaukee, Wis./Greenfield) was second in the 200 freestyle (1:42.31) and 500 freestyle (4:49.14), while Lichinsky was second in the 100 freestyle with a time of 45.84 and tied for third in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:42.96.
The other two second place finishers were freshman
Filip Cigic (Zagreb, Croatia/Sportska Gimnazija) in the 400 IM with a season best time of 4:18.60 and freshman
Alireza Yavari (Isfahan, Iran/Shayestegan) was second in the 100 butterfly with a time of 49.94.
McKendree will close out the regular season portion of its 2021-22 schedule on Saturday, Jan. 22 as they host ninth-ranked University of Missouri in a 2 p.m. dual meet at the McKendree Metro Rec Plex Pool.
