The Lions struck early and often with one goal in the first period and four in the second 20 minutes of play.

McKendree fired both of its goals in the third period, as Scully fired hers less than one minute into the period off a pass by fellow senior and wing Quinn Atchison

The Bearcats scoring concluded with sophomore Codi Bacon's goal in the fourth minute of the final period. Her score was unassisted.
