KENOSHA, Wis. – The top-ranked McKendree University women's bowling team moved into first place on the team leaderboard after going 4-1 on the second day of the MOTIV Ladyjack Classic here Saturday at Sheridan Lanes.
Through two days of the event hosted by fourth-ranked Stephen F. Austin, the Bearcats have posted a 9-1 record and a total pinfall of 11,054 after recording a 5,584 in Saturday's five traditional games to sit atop the team leaderboard. The Bearcats are averaging 221.1 per game.
McKendree opened Saturday's traditional games with a 1,097-952 win over Valparaiso, before earning wins over Wisconsin-Whitewater (1,182-837), North Central College (1,139-756) and Carthage College (1,160-933) and suffered a hard-fought 1,042-1,006 loss to sixth-ranked Arkansas State.
McKendree's 1,182 pinfall against Wisconsin-Whitewater were the most in a single match by any team through the first two days of the tournament.
On Sunday, McKendree will resume play at 8:30 a.m. against No. 25 Newman University, before facing No. 15 Maryville and then meeting No. 9 Youngstown State in five-game Baker matches. Following those three Baker games, the teams will be seeded based on total pinfall results from Friday, Saturday and Sunday's three games for Sunday's bracket-play championship games where each team will play one final best-of-seven Baker match for the final tournament placement.

Maranda Pattison (Redwood Valley, Calif./Ukiah Independent) sits in second place with a total pinfall of 1,166 for an average of 233.20 per game. Pattison had 200 in three of her five games, including a high of 286 against North Central.

Rebecca Hagerman (Loves Park, Ill./Harlem) is in third place with a total pinfall of 1,163 for an average of 232.60. Hagerman bowled 200 or better in all five games, including a high of 255 in the final game against Carthage.
The third Bearcat individual in the Top 6 was junior
Isabel Allen (Tamworth, England/Polesworth High), who tallied a total pinfall of 1,127 for an average of 225.40. Allen had 200 or better in four of five games, including a high of 254 against Carthage.
Two other Bearcats are in the Top 20 of the individual standings as two-time NTCA Division II/III Player of the Year
Hope Gramly (Prosper, Texas/Prosper) sits 17th after tallying a pinfall of 1,064 for an average of 212.80 and fifth-year senior
Angelique Dalesandro (Rolling Meadows, Ill./Vanderbilt) sits 18th with a total pinfall of 1,064 and an average of 212.80. Gramly scored 200 or better in three games, including a high of 258 against Valparaiso and Dalesandro had five games of 200 or better, including a high of 222 against Carthage.
