LEBANON, Ill. – McKendree men's water polo junior goalkeeper
Jimmy Cronin (Naperville, Ill./Metea Valley) was named the Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference Defensive Player of the Week following the team's outing this past weekend at the Bucknell Invitational in Lewisburg, Penn.
Cronin held the net for 3.5 out of four games for the Bearcats as they posted a 1-3 record for the tournament. McKendree picked up their lone win during the weekend against Mercyhurst, outscoring the Lakers 21-12. Across the four games, Cronin tallied 50 saves and five steals in his performance. In addition to Defensive Player of the Week, Cronin was named to the Player of the Week honor roll.
Junior center
Breno Tebet (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Golden West College) was named to the Rookie of the Week honor roll for the MAWPC. Tebet tallied nine goals, eight drawn exclusions, and three steals in the four matches for the Bearcats.
McKendree men's water polo resumes their 2022 schedule this weekend as they play four games in the Erie Conference Crossover Weekend held in Erie, Penn.
