ERIE, Pa. – The McKendree men's water polo team concluded the two-day Erie Conference Crossover event here Sunday morning with a 21-12 loss to Mount St. Mary's.
This was the second meeting of Mount St. Mary's and McKendree this season as the teams faced off last weekend in the Bucknell Invitational. Following the setback, the Bearcats drop to 2-7 on the season. The Bearcats lost all four games at the Erie Conference Crossover event.
McKendree was led by fifth-year senior attacker
Nico Rodriguez (Bogota, Colombia/Oviedo) with four goals, six points, two assists and one steal. Junior center
Breno Tebet (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Golden West College) added three goals and two exclusions to the Bearcats' score, while sophomore attacker
Jespyn Bishop (Brighton, Co./Brighton) tallied two goals and one steal for the game.

Jimmy Cronin (Naperville, Ill./Metea Valley) spent all 32 minutes in the net for the Bearcats, collecting six saves on the day.
Mount St. Mary's was paced by seven goals and one assist for eight points from Alexandros Bellesis, whlle Michael Lemishko added five goals and an assist for six points.
McKendree's season continues this coming weekend in the Gary Troyer Invitational held at the Axelrod Pool in Claremont, Calif. The Bearcats will start the weekend with a 10 a.m. PT game against Biola University on Friday, Sept. 30.
