LEBANON, Ill. - McKendree University women's basketball will play its first Great Lakes Valley Conference game of the season on Saturday, Nov. 25 at 1 p.m. vs. Truman State University.
The Bearcats sit at 2-2 on the season after going 1-1 in each of their non-conference tournaments while the Bulldogs also sport a .500 record at 3-3.
Through the first four games, McKendree has been led in scoring by junior guard Clare Breden who has averaged 18.0 points so far, placing her sixth on conference scoring rankings. Additionally, Breden is fourth for the GLVC in field goal percentage at 53.1 percent. Senior forward Naomi McDaniel also averages double digits, netting 10.8 points per game.
As a team, McKendree ranks in the GLVC top five for assists, averaging 13.25 per game.
In their six games, the Bulldogs have been led offensively by graduate forward Ellie Weltha averaging 19.2 points per game as well as topping the conference at 9.2 rebounds per game and with field goal percentage of 59.4 percent.
In team GLVC statistics, Truman State is fourth in assists (16.17 per game), field goal percentage (45.2 percent), and three-point percentage (34.9 percent).
