LEBANON, Ill. - Women's water polo graduate student attacker Jaleh Moaddeli was selected as the Western Water Polo Association Player of the Week as announced by the league's office on Thursday. 

Moaddeli earns her first weekly accolade this season after her performance last weekend at the Macalester Invitational in St. Paul, Minn. where McKendree went 4-0 for the weekend. Over four games, Moaddeli fired 14 goals in addition to recording 10 assists and 12 steals. Against Macalester, Moaddeli netted a season-high six goals in the Bearcats' 14-9 win. She also posted back-to-back games with a game-high five steals for McKendree against Macalester and Virginia Military Institute. 

Moaddeli joins fifth-year senior Abigail Burton as the second Bearcat to be selected to the honor this season. Moaddeli was honored twice as the Player of the Week in the 2022 season. 

Moaddeli helped the Bearcats increase their win streak to five and overall record to 5-4 as they get set to take on Carthage College at the McKendree Metro Rec Plex on Feb. 25 at 2 p.m.
