O'FALLON, Ill. - McKendree University men's tennis fell 7-0 to the No.6-ranked University of Indianapolis in the Bearcats' final match of the regular season. McKendree ends the regular season with a 12-4 overall record and a 4-1 conference record to earn a No.2 seed in the East for the Great Lakes Valley Conference tournament.  

The Bearcats saw two three-set matches in singles play as No.8-ranked senior Leonardo Schmitz Frederico battled Indianapolis's No.15-ranked Edgar Destouet in the No.1 singles match. Schmitz Frederico secured the first set 6-4, though Destouet would secure the second two sets, 6-4, 6-3.  

In the No.3 match, freshman Benedek Szombathelyi and Indianapolis's Louis Picaud battled to three sets as Szombathelyi won the first set 7-6 and Picaud won two straight sets, 6-2, 7-5.  

The Bearcats enter postseason play this coming weekend on April 21 as they play No.3-seeded Drury at Center Grove High School in Greenwood, Ind., at 1 p.m. ET.
