LEBANON, Ill. – Head Coach René Vidal is pleased to announce his recruiting classes for the Bearcat men's and women's tennis programs.
On the men's side, he welcomes two freshman and five transfers to the program.
Eduardo Criscuolo (sophomore, Sao Paulo, Brazil, Ventura College)
- First team doubles in WSC in CCAAA
- Top 25 doubles in CCAAA at Ventura College
Ahmed El Kassas (freshman, Cairo, Egypt, Smart Village School)
- Was ranked top 50 in Egypt
- Won multiple Egyptian Tennis Federation tournaments
- Reached the round of 16 in Egypt's national tournament in U16
Seb Holden (junior, Dorking, United Kingdom, Seward County CC)
- Reached the Semifinals of nationals in singles in juniors
- Reached the Finals of nationals in doubles in juniors
- Top 100 in UK men's rankings
Luka Kalenic (sophomore, Belgrade, Serba/ University of San Francisco)
- Reached the number two overall ranking for Serbia's U18
- Twice finished in the final four at the Serbian National Championships at the senior level
Arhaan Pahwa (sophomore, Barcelona, Spain, Chicago State)
- Top 100 Men's Spanish national ranking
- Winner of Catalunya masters U16
- Winner of 7 Men's Spanish national tournaments
Bendix Schroeder (sophomore, Syke, Germany, Stetson University)
- Two-time champion of the Lower Saxony U16 regionals and reached the finals in U18 at the same event
- Won the team championship U18 regionals twice
- Reached quarterfinals in doubles at the U16 German championship
- Highest Universal Tennis Rating of 11.5
Giacomo Valerga (freshman, Lima Peru, Cambridge College Lima)
- Champion in doubles G2 National in Peru and semifinalist in singles
- Highest ranking in ITF 2400
- Champion in singles and doubles G3 National in Peru
The women's team will welcome two transfers and one freshman.
Sofija Djunisijevic (junior, Cacak, Serbia, Lewis and Clark CC)
- Two-time member of the Serbian National Team
- Regional Champion and three-time 3rd place finisher at National Championships in Serbia
- Played in the top singles spot at Lewis and Clark and helped Lewis and Clark finish in 14th place at the National Tournament
Iva Poleksic (sophomore, Belgrade, Serbia, Illinois State University)
- Top 5 ranking in Serbia for U14 girls
- Category 1 National Champion
- Category 2 National Champion
Pien Ruempol (freshman, Wageningen, Netherlands, Wageningen University)
- Club Champion at her home club
- Completed her tennis trainer's degree
