IRVINE, Ca. - McKendree University Senior goalkeeper Jimmy Cronin has earned the WWPA Defensive Player of the week award.  

Cronin led the McKendree defense at the Salem Invite in Morgantown, W.Va helping the Bearcats to three wins in their four games. He registered 36 total saves, stole eight entry passes, and dished out three assists while posting a .514% save percentage. Cronin's 13.78 goals against average ranks second in the East Region. 

The Bearcats return to action on Thr. Sept.28 Whitter, Ca, and the Gary Troyer Invitational in Pomona, Ca Sept. 29- Oct 1.
