IRVINE, Calif. - McKendree University men's water polo opened their west coast trip with a loss to Biola University, but bounced back with a win over Whitter College.
The Bearcats started off their California stint against the Biola Eagles where they fell into a quick 7-2 rut after the first quarter. The Eagles lead expanded to 11-3 at half and concluded in a 15-6 loss for the Bearcats. Yannick Robertson tallied 3 goals to lead the way for the Bearcats.
Later in the evening, McKendree hopped back into the pool to secure a 20-11 win over the Whitter Poets. The Poets had no answer for Isaac Demski as he poured in six goals and one assist, and Breno Tebet added in four goals and one assist as well. The Bearcats has six players score at least two goals and cruised into a win.
The Bearcats are back in action Fri. Sept. 29 in Pompeo, California against the United States Air Force Academy and California State at Fullerton.
