KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Small College Basketball and the National Awards Committee announced the Bevo Francis Top 100 Watch List on Monday, January 15th. The Top 100 Watch List consists of some of the top players from the NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA, USCAA and NCCAA.
The McKendree University Bearcats are represented for the first-time in program history on this watch list. Junior forward Milos Vicentic is one of the three players from the Great Lakes Valley Conference on this list – Jake Hilmer (Upper Iowa) and Jesse Bingham (Indianapolis).
"Milos is the kind of player and person that makes college basketball special. He is a tremendous competitor, student, and teammate. Being named to the watch list is a credit to his hard work and the efforts of his teammates," said Head Coach George Suggs.
The Belgrade, Serbia native sits near the top of Division II in multiple offensive categories including field goals made and attempted. While averaging over 35 minutes per game, he has scored 325 points for an average of 23.2 per game.
The timeline for the Bevo Francis Awards is as follows: 50 players on February 15, and 25 players on March 15. On April 2, they will release a video of the finalists, and the Bevo Francis Award will be presented in person shortly thereafter on April 4.
