INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The final game of the Bearcats' four-game road swing came against the University of Indianapolis Greyhounds (RV) on Saturday, January 20th. Indianapolis pulled away late in the second half to take the physical game by the score of 87-76.
The teams traded leads five times and were tied on six separate occasions.
McKendree had four guys reach double figures in the contest that was a two-point game at the half. Junior forward Milos Vicentic led the way with 22 points on 8-of-21. The Belgrade, Serbia native pulled down eight rebounds and had two blocks. Caleb Zurliene and Carson Parker posted 13 points apiece. Zurliene dished out five assists and pulled down four rebounds. Parker was 7-of-10 from the free throw line. Joey Niesman was the last of the Bearcat contingent in double figures with 12 points. The Oswego, Illinois native co-lead the team with eight rebounds.
The Bearcats shot 24-of-59 from the field for 40.7%. Going to the line 24 times, they made 20 for 83.3%.
Returning home next week, the Bearcats will welcome the Maryville University Saints on Thursday, January 25th for International Student-Athlete night with tip scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
