O'FALLON, Ill. - McKendree University men's swim and dive defeated #2 University of Indianapolis Greyhounds and #24 Missouri S&T Miners in Tri-Conference showdown.
The Bearcats started the afternoon with a victory in the 400 yard medley relay with at time of 3:14.93. The relay consisted of senior Patryk Rozenek, freshman Nojus Bertulis, senior Jackson Lustig, and junior Tyson Upton.
Rozenek placed first in the 100 Yard Backstroke with a time of 48.89 and second in the 200 Yard Backstroke with a time of 1:48.35. Junior Caden Brooks also finished second in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 50.80.
The 200 yard butterfly saw the top three spots be controlled by McKendree with Lustig leading the way with 1:46.89. Seniors Archie Minto and Alireza Yavari captured second and third with times of 1:51.48, and 1:51.70 respectively.
Lustig also took first place in the 100m butterfly with a time of 48.07, and third in the 400 IM in 4:04.30.
Upton saw a second place finish in the 50 freestyle in 20.97.
Sophomore Christan Davidson first place in the 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 9:31.46.
The 200 yard freestyle relay closed out the day and secured a win for McKendree. Freshman Vova Garvish, seniors Leo Gandaria-Hernandez, Arthur Souza, and Upton finished the relay with a time of 1:21.88 to knock off the Greyhounds and Miners.
McKendree secured 154-142 win over Indianpolis and 239-49 win over the Miners.
The Bearcats are back in the pool on Sat. Oct, 26 in at the University of Evansville.
