Series History
The Bearcats own the series over the Cardinals by winning all eleven games dating back to 2012. Last year, McKendree knocked off WJC at Leemon Field by the score of 35-14.
Record Book Watch
Eddie Clark became the fifth Bearcat to rush for more than 1,000 yards in a season last week against Upper Iowa, as he now sits at 1,023. The redshirt sophomore from Peoria, Illinois needs just 127 yards to become the single season leader in rushing yards.
Andrew Sherry needs just one interception to become the single season leader for interceptions by a Bearcat. The New Lenox, Illinois native currently sits at five for the 2024 campaign.
Scouting the Bearcats
McKendree enters the final week of the season with an overall record of 5-5 (4-3 GLVC). They are coming off a 28-24 loss to Upper Iowa last week.
Quarterback Ty Michael leads the conference in completions per game (20.40), Passing yards (2,361), and passing yards per game (236.1). Eddie Clark sits in the top three of the conference in rushing touchdowns (13), rushing yards (1,023), rushing yards per game (102.3), and total points scored (78).
As a team, McKendree sits top 10 in Division II in first down offense (230) and passes intercepted (10).
Scouting the Cardinals
William Jewell College, losers of their previous two, currently sits at 4-6 (2-5 GLVC). All four of their wins have come on the road, as they are 0-4 at Greene Stadium. Last week, they got shutout by Truman St 34-0.
They have used three quarterbacks this year, but two of the guys have thrown 87 or more passes. Keaundre McCullough has carried the ball 193 times for 1,095 yards and scored 11 touchdowns. AJ Austene leads the Cardinals with 40 catches for 462 yards and three touchdowns.
