O'FALLON, Ill – McKendree University men's tennis won their home opening match over the Michigan Technological University huskies. The Bearcats won the match 6-1. 

Fifth year senior Leonardo Schmitz Frederico started the day with a victory over Jack Lin with scores of 6-2, and 6-0. Junior Seb Holden followed suit with a 6-2, and 6-3 win over Vitor Jordao. 

Sophomore Bendix Schröder secured a 6-4, and 7-5 win over Leon Sell and sixth year senior Vishnu Prasad defeated Adam Fenjiro 6-4, and 7-5. 

Sophomore Luka Kalenic fell to Nikolai Prosjansykov 6-7, 5, and 2-6, and fifth-year senior Lorenzo del Biondo rounded out the singles matches with a victory over Landon Coates 6-4, and 6-2. 

The Bearcats swept the doubles over the Huskies highlighted by Frederico and Schroders victory over Lin and Sell 6-2. Prasad and Kalenic also won 6-2, over the Pinnoo and Coates. Holden and Del Biondo closed out the day with a 7-5 victory over Jordao and Prosjanykov. 

The Bearcats are back in action against Missouri Baptist on Fri, Feb.23.
