FORT WAYNE, Ind. - McKendree University men's volleyball played its second game at Purdue Fort Wayne on Saturday afternoon, falling to the Mastodons 3-2. The Bearcats move to 7-6 overall and 4-3 in the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association.  

Purdue Fort Wayne took the first two sets 25-21 and 26-24 before the Bearcats captured two of their own, 25-20 and 25-19. The fifth set came down to the wire as the Mastodons were able to pull off the 17-15 victory.  

Redshirt senior setter Tyler Poulsen and junior outside hitter Kevin Schuele tallied a double-double each as Poulsen posted 44 assists and 13 digs and Schuele recorded 16 kills and 12 digs. Poulsen added six blocks and five kills on the day while redshirt sophomore outside hitter Sam Hoskin put down 13 kills.  

Defensively, McKendree was led in digs by junior libero Yadiel Diaz with 14. Middle blocker Rolen Lively snagged a whopping eight blocks including one solo block.  

Up next, the Bearcats are back at home on Wednesday night against Lindenwood at 7 p.m.
