LEBANON, Ill. – The Bearcats hosted the Quincy University Hawks for their second matchup of the season. McKendree improved to 12-9 (6-8 GLVC) with the 77-68 win over the Hawks on Thursday, February 8th.
Led by five guys in double figures, the Bearcats got a huge boost from the bench with Malcolm Davis scoring a career-high 11 points, including 3-of-3 from beyond the arc. Milos Vicentic had a team-high 19 points on 5-of-11 from the field. The junior also pulled down 8 rebounds and blocked a shot. Caleb Zurliene chipped in with 16 points, five rebounds, three assists, two blocks and two steals. Carson Parker who matched his career-high with 38 minutes had 14 points, seven rebounds, and three assists. Kevin Stein was the last Bearcat in double figures with 10 points.
As a team, they went 25-of53 from the field, 11-of-22 from beyond the arc and 16-of-22 from the charity stripe.
McKendree University will remain at home as they host the University of Illinois-Springfield Prairie Stars on Saturday, February 10th with tip scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
