HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The McKendree baseball team wrapped up its opening weekend series against the University of Alabama in Huntsville on Friday, February 9^th. The Chargers swept the Bearcats with the final score of 11-4.

UAH got on the board in the bottom of the 1^st with a two-out grand slam to make it 4-0.

Jason Cousineau sent a pitch over the right field wall to make it 4-1 in the top of the 3^rd. Noah Nelson made it 4-2 on a sac fly that scored Chyran Cruse in top of the 5^th. The Chargers scored 7 runs in the bottom half of the inning which made it 11-2.

The Bearcats scored on a wild pitch in the top of the 6^th and Joey Kossina singled down the right field line which scored Harrison Toone in the top of the 9^th.

McKendree travels to Claremore, Oklahoma on February 16^th through 18^th for a series against Rogers State University.
