SEARCY, Ark. - McKendree University women's tennis competed against Harding University on the road, falling to the Bison 2-5. The Bearcats are now 3-7 overall as they prepare to host a home match next weekend.
In doubles play, McKendree was led by junior Sofija Djunisijevic and senior Maria Vitoria Salomao who won 6-3 over Harding's Madison Stafford and Alexia Zarate Valdez.
McKendree had two victors in singles play including senior Camilla Fonseca at the No.1 match who took a 6-4, 6-4 win over Zarate Valdez. Djunisijevic captured her second win on the day with scores of 5-7, 6-4, 10-5 against Stafford.
The Bearcats are back in action on Saturday, March 23 as they host Rockhurst University at 2 pm at the St. Clair Tennis Club.
