LEBANON, Ill. - McKendree University men's volleyball defeated Quincy University on Friday evening in a three-set sweep. The Bearcats improve to 9-6 overall and 6-3 in the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association.
McKendree won the first two sets 25-21 and triumphed for a 26-24 victory in set three.
The Bearcats were led by junior outside hitter Kevin Schuele with 12 kills and three aces as well as sophomore middle blocker Rolen Lively with 11 kills and a .846 hitting percentage. Redshirt senior setter Tyler Poulsen assisted 42 of the Bearcats' 49 kills. McKendree hit .365 percent as a team.
Defensively, freshman right side hitter Nathan Flayter posted a career-high 12 digs while junior middle blocker D'Aaron McCraney grabbed four blocks for the night.
