LEBANON, Ill – After a two-game road trip the Bearcats came back home to play the Dominican University of California penguins where they won 14-12.
Sophomore Jayna Barnden got the day started off early scoring the first goal of the game. The Bearcats quickly fell down 2-1 but then there was no looking back as Barnden went on to score six first half goals and help the Bearcats lead 10-4 at the half.
Fifth year senior Lexi Helms and senior Olivia Julian both scored three goals, and two fourth quarter goals from senior Lauren Fischer helped seal a 14-12 victory over the Penguins.
The Bearcats are back in action next Sat, March 30 against GLVC foe Maryville University.
