LEBANON, Ill. – Under the lights of Leemon Field, the Bearcats hosted the Notre Dame College (Ohio) Falcons on Saturday, March 9th. Behind Jayna Barnden's six-goal game, the Bearcats improved to 2-4 on the season with the 13-10 win.
Olivia Julian scored four goals of her own, including the first two of the game just 60 seconds apart. Jenna Sugarman, Lauren Fischer and Lexi Helms each chipped in with a goal apiece. The Bearcats lead 6-3 at the half time break and that proved to be the difference as each time found the back of the net seven times in the second half.
In net, Amber Hayden picked up the win stopping ten shots. She also picked up her first career point late in the third quarter on an assist.
McKendree will have a week off before hosting the Thomas More University Saints on Saturday, March 16th at 1:00 p.m.
