DAYTONA, FL- The McKendree Cheer Team traveled to Daytona Beach to compete in the 2024 NCA Cheer Nationals this past weekend. They competed in two divisions, the Advanced All Girl Division II and Large Coed Division II. In the Advanced All Girl Division II preliminaries McKendree placed 4th with an event score of 20.45, a raw score 82.8, and only taking 1 points worth of deductions. They came back for the finals to take 6th overall with a final event score of 76.1375. In the Large Coed Division II category the Bearcats got 2nd in their preliminaries with a raw score of 86.9 and 2.5 points of deductions giving them an event score of 21.1. The group then came back in finals to take 3rd overall in the division with a score of 83.175. This finishes the McKendree competitive cheer season and marks the second year in a row for the Bearcats finishing with two top 10 performances at the National Competition. 

The next event for the McKendree Cheer team will be the tryouts for next year's team hosted later this Spring.
