LEBANON, Ill. – The McKendree University Cheerleading team will send two teams to compete at the National Cheerleaders Association Cheerleading Nationals April 10
th – 12
th. The competition is held in Daytona Beach, Florida at the Daytona Beach Bandshell.
The two Bearcat teams that will compete are in the Advanced Large Coed Open Division and the Advanced Small Coed Division II.
Competition starts on Thursday April 10
th, with the Advanced Large Coed Open team competing at 2:28 pm eastern time and the Advanced Small Coed Division II competing at 5:48 pm eastern time. The scores from Thursday are worth 25% of the final score for the competition.
Competition continues Friday, April 11
th, with the Advanced Large Coed Open team competing between 2:20 pm – 2:52 pm eastern time and the Advanced Small Coed Division II competing at 6:00 pm – 6:56 pm eastern time. Friday times of competition are based off placement from Thursday. Friday scores are worth the remaining 75% of the final score for the competition.
Friday awards begin at roughly 4:00 pm eastern time for the Advanced Large Coed Open team and begin at roughly 7:00 pm eastern time for the Advanced Small Coed Division II team.

The Bearcats will be showcasing both teams' nationals' routine this weekend for the public. Saturday, April 5
ththe teams will be at the SIUE Cheer and Dance Showcase. The showcase begins at 2 pm and is located at the Vadalabene Center on SIUE campus. The Bearcats will then perform at home in the MPCC on Sunday, April 6
th at 4pm alongside the dance team for a nationals send off.
