Box Score 2 O'FALLON, Ill. - McKendree University men's tennis extended its win streak to eight with a 5-2 win against the University of Illinois Springfield and a 6-1 win over Lewis University. The Bearcats are 14-1 overall on the season and 2-0 in conference play as they prepare for their final regular season matches in the next two weeks.

The Bearcats swept doubles against UIS as all three Bearcat duos won with scores of 6-3: fifth-year senior Leonardo Schmitz Frederico and sophomore Bendix Schröder in the No.1 match, junior Seb Holden and sophomore Luka Kalenic in the No.2 match, and fifth-year senior Lorenzo del Biondo with sixth-year senior Vishnu Prasad in the No.6 match.
In singles, No.19-ranked Frederico defeated UIS's Burton 6-0, 6-4 in the No.1 match. At the No.4 spot, Prasad took a 6-3, 6-3 win over En Tan while Kalenic, in the No.5 match, secured a 6-3, 6-4 win against Rojas. Rounding out the singles matches for the day was del Biondo, taking a 7-5, 7-5 victory against Lapsley.
McKendree 6, Lewis 1
On Saturday, McKendree faced Lewis and posted two doubles wins along with five singles wins. Frederico and Schröder won 6-1 at No.1 in addition to a 6-3 win from Prasad and del Biondo in match No.3.
In singles, Frederico tallied a 6-2, 6-0 win against Parzajuk in the No.1 spot. Prasad posted a 6-1, 6-1 win against Wierzbicki in the No.3 match while Kalenic won 6-1, 7-6 against Leal at the No.4 match. The No.5 match belonged to del Biondo with a 7-5, 6-0 victory against Muleiwa and the Bearcat wins were complete in the No.6 match as Giacomo Valerga defeated Carbajal 4-6, 6-4, 10-5.

On Monday, the Bearcats face WashU in St. Louis at 4 pm, then close out their conference schedule at Missouri-St. Louis on Friday, April 26 and Maryville on Saturday, April 27.
