INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - No.18-ranked McKendree University men's tennis fell to the No.9 University of Indianapolis on Friday afternoon by a score of 5-2. The Bearcats move to 14-2 on the season and 2-1 in conference play.  

The match was highlighted by two Bearcat wins in singles. In the No.1 match, fifth-year senior Leonardo Schmitz Frederico who is ranked No.28 in singles for Division II faced No.1-ranked Tom Zeuch. Zeuch took the first set 6-4 while Schmitz Frederico bounced back with a 6-2 win in the second set. The third set came down to the wire as Schmitz Frederico came away with a 10-7 win to seal the victory in the match.  

In the No.4 singles match, sixth-year senior Vishnu Prasad secured the second victory of the day for McKendree, defeating David Simeonov in two sets, 7-5 and 6-3.  

Up next, the Bearcats play their final non-conference regular-season match on Monday, April 22 at 4 pm at Washington University in St. Louis.
