Women's Water Polo Falls to the Lakers Concluding 2024 Season

LA MIRADA, Cali. - The McKendree women's water polo team concluded their 2024 season in the third-place match of the WWPA Championships falling to the Lakers in overtime with a score of 9-10.

Senior attacker Jasmin Guzman led the way for the Bearcats with five goals on 5-of-8 shooting. Sophomore attacker Dylan Murphy notched in two goals to help the Bearcats offensively and sophomore attacker Joey Rebelo and freshman attacker Hailey Munoz each secured one goal apiece. On the defensive end, junior goalie Sydney Kane saved 11 goals and three steals and sophomore attacker Allie Diller secured one steal.

Guzman won All-Tournament First Team, scoring seven total goals, while sophomore attacker Joey Rebelo won All-Tournament Second Team scoring six goals over the three games.

The Bearcats concluded their 2024 season with an overall record of 14-11 and a conference record of 4-2.
