Women's Volleyball Unable to Top Saints

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - McKendree University women's volleyball fell to Maryville University Saturday afternoon. The Bearcats move to an overall record of 2-8 on the season.

The Saints completed the three-set triumph over the Bearcats with scores of 25-12, 25-22, and 25-22. 

Senior setter Amber Williams led the Bearcats with a 24-assist, 10-dig double-double on the day. Junior libero Ashlyn Berczynski accounted for a season-high 21 digs while graduate student right side Colleen Preusser added eight. Offensively junior outside hitter Destiny Gray led the team in kills with 10. Preusser chipped in with six kills while middle blocker Hannah Kampwerth notched in five kills.

The Bearcats begin their conference season as they travel to Missouri with two road games against William Jewell and Rockhurst.
