Fields, Trotter Finish Second at Wabash Valley Invitational

MOUNT CARMEL, Ill. - The McKendree University Anglers traveled to compete in the Wabash Valley Invitational this past weekend. Schools competing at the event included Murray State, Simpson, Wabash Valley, Purdue, and SIUC.

Murray State finished first at the Invitational with 18.10 pounds. Junior Ethan Fields and senior Maxwell Trotter finished second with 17.13 pounds. Reeling in third was Wabash Valley with 13.21 pounds. Simpson took fourth with 12.83 pounds. Rounding out the top five was senior duo Jack Stephens and Lane Stephens with 10.99 pounds. Following behind in sixth was sophomore duo Ryan Foster and Angelo Malek with 4.93 pounds. Concluding in seventh was graduate student Harmon Marien and freshman Mason Darling with 3.81 pounds.
