PLAINVILLE, Ill. - McKendree University men's tennis fell 7-0 to Grand Valley State University to open up their spring season.
The Bearcats dropped all three doubles matches, 4-6, 3-6, and 4-6.
Once singles play started, Junior
Luka Kalenic fought to take the first set to a tie break, but ended up falling 6(7)-7(9), and then fell in the second set 1-6. No 2. singles Senior
Seb Holden and No. 6 singles sophomore
Giacomo Valerga fell in straight sets. No. 3 singles sophomore
Stepan Mach and No. 4 singles junior
Bendix Schroeder went to tie break first set, but ended up losing both sets. No. 5 singles sophomore
Mathijs Aalpol fell in two sets, both going to tie breaker.

The Bearcats are back in action this Sunday February 2
nd against Washburn University at St. Clair Tennis Club in O'Fallon Illinois. Match time is set for 9am. This match will be alumni day as well.
