JONESBORO, Ark. - The McKendree women's bowling team faced off in the Mid-Winter classic this past weekend with a 12th-place finish out of 15 teams.
The Bearcats finished 12th overall, knocking down 12,997 pins and going 3-9 on the weekend. McKendree knocked down 4,600 pins in the baker matches and 4,801 in the traditional matches, averaging 188.4 pins a game. In Sunday's championship bracket, the Bearcats took down Jackson State University and the University of Alabama at Bringham.
In individual standings, graduate student Alyssa Alexander placed 20th overall, knocking down 1,055 pins and averaging 211.0 pins a game.Â
The Bearcats are back on the lanes, competing in the Big Red Invite this weekend, Feb. 21-23, in Lincoln, Nebraska.Â
