TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Bearcats traveled to Eastern Illinois University, defeating the Panthers 5-2.
The men had a tough start to the day, dropping all three doubles matches, 4-6, 1-6, and 4-6, respectively.
In singles play, the Bearcats found their stride, only dropping one match, the No. 3 match. Junior
Luka Kalenic was defeated by Aldaz Alvis 1-6, 2-6.
In the No. 1 match, senior
Seb Holden started off strong with a 6-1 win in the first set, but ended up going three sets to get the win. In the No. 2 Match sophomore
Stepan Mach dominated White, winning 6-3, 6-4. No. 4 match sophomore
Felix Diedrichs takes down Carlin in two sets, 6-4, 6-3. With the No. 5 and No. 6 matches still in play, the score was 3-2, with your Bearcats winning. The No. 5 match, junior
Bendix Schroeder clinched the match, after falling in the first set. Schroeder came back to take sets two and three 6-1 and 6-4. To complete the singles wins on the day, freshman
Bastian Post defeated Cauvilla in three sets.
