O'FALLON, Ill – McKendree Mens Tennis hosted two GLVC opponents over the weekend, going 1-1. The Bearcats are now 1-2 in the GLVC. 

On Friday, the Bearcats hosted the Saints of Maryville University. McKendree won 4-3.

In doubles play, the Bearcats take the point. Junior due Benedix Schroeder and Luka Kalenic take the No. 1 doubles 6-2, while sophomore duo Stepan Mach and Mathijs Aalpol win their No. 2 match 6-2. 

In singles play, No. 1 match Mach defeats Hernandez Saracho in three sets. Junior Aimar Oregui wins the No. 5 match over Prentits 6-4, 6-2. Clinching the match was sophomore Giacomo Valerga, coming back from behind to win the No. 6 match in three sets.

On Saturday, the Bearcats celebrated the seniors Seb Holden and Eduardo Criscuolo, while hosting University of Missouri-St. Louis. The Bearcats fell to the Tritons 3-4.

The Tritions took the doubles point. In singles play, No. 1 match, Mach takes down Ley in 2 sets, while No. 2 match Schroeder defeats Ramnath in three sets. Rounding out the wins on the weekend was Valerga winning the No. 6 match in two sets.

Up next, The Bearcats will take on Division 3 Washington University on Monday, April 21^st before they play their final two GLVC conference matches next weekend. They will travel to Lewis on Friday April 25^th, and UIS on Saturday April 25^th.
