LEBANON, Ill. - McKendree University softball (29-18, 15-9 GLVC) was previously named in the initial NCAA Midwest "Under Consideration" rankings last week and sits ranked sixth in the first true regional rankings of the spring, as released by the NCAA on Wednesday afternoon. The Bearcats, who spent a program-high eight-straight weeks in the NFCA / GOROUT NCAA Divison II National Poll earlier this season, look to make their first regional championship appearance since 2018 when the squad finished the regular season with a 37-14 overall record. McKendree finishes out the regular season on April 25 and 27 with road doubleheaders at Quincy and Upper Iowa and aims to lock up its position for the upcoming Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship Tournament on April 30-May 3 in East Peoria, Illinois.
