Women's Lacrosse Honors Prouhet on Senior Day; Concludes 2025 Season

LEBANON, Ill. - McKendree University women's lacrosse faced off against Rockhurst University on Sunday afternoon, celebrating Senior Day by honoring senior midfielder Alexa Prouhet.

The Bearcats started strong in the first period with two goals from junior attacker Jayna Barnden. The Hawks quickly responded, and the first half ended with Rockhurst leading 8-4. McKendree gained momentum in the third period, outscoring the Hawks by three goals. However, it wasn't enough to hold off Rockhurst, as the game concluded with a final score of 13-9, wrapping up the 2025 season.

Offensively, the Bearcats were led by sophomore midfielder Lexi Macleod and Barnden, who each tallied three goals. Sophomore defender Mackenzie Stroisch recorded five ground balls, while sophomore goalkeeper Amber Hayden secured four. Freshman attacker Lauren Blackburn and Macleod each won three draw controls.

On the defensive end, Hayden tallied an impressive 17 saves.
