BRIDGEPORT, Pa. - The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) has revealed its weekly Women's Varsity Top 25 national poll on Wednesday, April 30th, with the McKendree women's water polo team placed 23rd within the rankings.
It is the first time in the CWPA polling history (since 2008) that the Bearcat program made its way into the polls. McKendree has been a varsity program since 2018, as they were a club team in their inaugural season in 2017.
The team is currently sitting at 21-7 overall, finishing with a 3-1 mark in conference play. They are just coming off their first-ever WWPA title in their tournament and will begin competing in the National Collegiate Water Polo Championships on May 7th.
